Maybe you missed these...
Saturday, 04 September 2010 11:59 Written by Van Coleman Lipscomb, Santa Clara, Stony Brook, Drexel, and East Carolina all add recruits this week... Here are a number of commitments that have been made this past week across the country that we haven't reported to date...just in case you missed them...
Lipscomb Coach Scott Sanderson had a huge week adding five players to his Class of 2011.
They added 6-7 Marvin Williams from memphis, TN White Station and explosive rebounder inside. While on the wing Clarkesville, TN Academy's 6-5 twins Malcom Smith and Martin Smith will add depth on the wing, and 6-1 combo Zavion Williams from Clarksville West Creek along with 6-2 Robert Boyd of Knoxville Fulton will do the same in their backcourt. Its a deep class of in-state talent for the Bisons.
Kerry Keating and his Santa Clara staff have received a commitment from 6-2 combo guard Denzel Johnson from Fresno, CA Clovis West. Johnson is a silled combo with quickness and ability to score from arc or at the rim.
Jeff Lebo and his East Carolina staff have added an explosive wing talent in 6-3 Paris Roberts-Campbell from Charlotte, NC United Faith Christian. He averaged 14 points a game as a junior, but look for him to increase those numbers based on his summer play.
Bruiser Flint and his Drexel staff have added a solid rebounder and low block scorer in 6-8 Kazembe Abif from Elizabeth, NJ Lawrenceville School. He chose Drexel over Rider and St. Peter's.
Steve Pikiell and his Stony Brook staff have a solid addition upfront in 6-7 power forward Scott King from Plymouth, MA Holderness School. He chose Stony Brook over interest from Fordham, Sacred Heart, and New Hampshire.
