"It's really exciting," ThunderRidge coach Joe Ortiz told the Post. "Obviously, we've known for a long time that he has some special talents. He works hard at his game."
Rodriguez is a mobile big man who can face and pop or finish around the hoop with either hand. He has a good touch around the hoop out to 15-feet with the ability to finish off the dribble at the rim. He is a solid rebonder who projects the ability to score at the Pac Ten level.
He chose California over interest San Francisco and Nevada.
