According to a source close to the Program, and confirmed by the News-Leader, the Missouri State Bears have received aMSU_Bears commitment from Dequan Hicks, 6-7 230-pound, power forward from New Mexico Junior College.

He's currently averaging 12 points and 8 rebounds a game this winter for New Mexico Junior College, and is a physical rebounder who has an excellent set of hands, good bounce on the glass and the ability yo finish with strength at the rim in traffic. He will fill a definite need for a physical inside presence for Paul Lusk's Bears.

He chose Missouri State over New Mexico, Southern Mississippi, Duquesne, Central Michigan and San Jose State. He joins 6-10 center Bruce Marshall, 6-7 forward Gavin Thurman, and 6-2 guard Marcus Marshall in the Missouri State Class of 2012.
