Drake adds high scoring combo guard

According to my good friends Harv & Roy Schmidt of the Illinois Prep Bullseye site, the Drake Bulldogs (while we were
traveling home to Iowa yesterday) grabbed a commitment from high scoring fifth year senior Kori Babineaux from Lake Forest, IL Academy.
The 6-4 combo, who is originally from Folsom, CA, averaged 27 points a game for LFA this winter, but showed his explosive offensive tools going for forty twice this winter going for 48 points versus North Chicago and 43 against a talented St. Rita squad. He has combo skills, can run the break, create drive with either hand attacking the hoop and finish at rim versus contact. He sets it up with solid jumper around the perimeter and has quicks and length to0 defend all three perimeter spots for the Bulldogs. He should see lots of PT for the Bulldogs as a freshman at Drake.
He chose Drake over interest from Loyola-Chicago, Dayton, Oregon State and St. Mary's after visiting the Des Moines Campus this past week.
