Recruiter's Notebook...Available Spring Big Men...

Here's a quick look at the top big men available to be signed this spring... As we head into the month of February, the season will be heading into the state tourney season and visits will be starting to heat up. With that in mind, here's a look at some of the top available big men...

This is the first of five reports on the top available high school players, by position, still left to be recruited in the class of 2010. We will look at power forwards next, then wing forwards, shooting and point guards over the next four days.

We felt this was the right time to look at the talent that will affect our spring recruiting rankings with their decisions. Decisions that will start coming in March and April, as those players take campus visits. So with that in mind here's a look at the top available post talent in the rising senior class...

Top Available Centers -

Mo Walker 6-10 265 Wolfeboro, NH Brewster Academy - Active and skilled big man is dominating on the blocks for Brewster Academy. He has really improved his foot quicks and bounce and is drawing interest from Pittsburgh, Connecticut, Georgetown, Kansas (12/18 visit), and Marquette.

Gorgui Dieng 6-10 210 Huntington, WV Huntington Prep - Active African import can block shots and crash boards. He is learning to score with both hands on the blocks. He has drawn looks from Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Marshall, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, South Florida, Georgia Tech, and Georgetown.

Reggie Murphy 6-9 240 Los Angeles, CA Westchester - This skilled wide body has shown flashes of being able to dominate on offensive end, but needs to continue to develop consistency and believe in his skills. He has interest from number of Pac Ten and Mountain West schools.

Moses Abraham 6-9 235 Temple Hills, MD Progressive Christian Academy - Another newcomer this winter, he has tools to score on the blocks or facing on pop out. he blocks shots with seven foot plus wing span too. He is hearing from Connecticut, Georgetown, Kentucky, LSU, Maryland, Miami (FL), Rutgers, VCU, Texas, and Florida.

Damien Terry 6-9 235 Colorado Springs, CO Sand Creek - Rocky Mountain big man can face and score or roll to blocks and finish with strength. He's heard from Arizona and Colorado in the fall, and now is starting to hear from other Big 12, Pac ten, and Mountain west schools.

Tyler Olander 6-9 230 Storrs, CT E.O. Smith - Skilled big man can pop jumper from 15-feet, score with jump hook or turnaround on the blocks and is good passer. He has reclassified to 2010 since heading back to E.O. Smith. He has Connecticut, Florida, Notre Dame, Penn State, Providence, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Wake Forest looking.

J.P. Kambola 6-9 230 Newark, NJ St. Benedict's - This fast developing Canadian import has ability to block shots and control the glass. He's still raw on offense, but finishes with strength on the blocks. He has heard from a number of mid to high major squads this fall.

Godwin Okonji 6-9 220 Henderson, NV Findlay Prep - This defensive stopper can flat out defend the best as he has shown nationally. he is coming on offensively and is hearing from Hawaii, New Mexico, TCU, Marquette, and Missouri.

Juvonte Reddic 6-9 220 Winston-Salem, NC Quality Education - He burst onto the national scene at the State Farm TOC at Thanksgiving, and since the athletic shot blocker and mobile low block score has been gaining interest. He is hearing from VCU, James Madison, Georgetown, Oklahoma, and West Virginia.

Roland Brown 6-8 245 Middle Village, NY Christ the King - This strong low block scorer can finish with both hands and has nice jumper on pop out. He is hearing from Fordham, George Mason, Rutgers, Hofstra, St. John's, Seton Hall, Stony Brook, and Monmouth.

Majok Majok 6-8 235 Northfield, MA Mount Hermon - He has been on a tear of late on the glass going for double-digit boards consistently. he can score with power moves on the blocks, but is still fairly raw offensively. He has Fordham, St. Louis, Marquette, VCU, Georgia Tech, and Virginia on his list.
