Hot 100 Hoops - Fall Recruiting Top 30 Fall Classes…

St. John's edges Kentucky, Duke, Arkansas, Ohio State and Louisville for top spot in fall recruiting...

St. John's added a top fifty prospect in Amir Garrett to just edge Kentucky in our fall recruiting point rankings. The eight man class the Red Storm signed overcame the Wildcats strong four man class headed by our top two prospects in the class of 2010 in Anthony Davis and Michael Gilchrist along with fellow top twenty-five talents Marques Teague and Kyle Wiltjer. We look for the ‘Cats to add one more in spring (Trevor Lacey or DeAndre Daniels are possibilities) and potentially take back the spot.

Right behind the top two sets a strong Duke class led by Austin Rivers and Quinn Cook. Rounding out the top five were Arkansas with a solid in-state group along with explosive B.J. Young, followed Ohio State with the addition of Amir Williams nipping Louisville who signed a deep group headed by Wayne Blackshear and Chane Behanan.

The second six featured Rutgers, in Mike Rice's first class, as the Scarlet Knights signed seven quality recruits, followed by Pittsburgh who popped into the top dozen with the re-classification of top twenty prospect Khem Birch, Illinois, Arizona, Texas, and North Carolina to complete the top dozen in the second cut of our fall rankings. But, the Tarheels are still looking to sign one more, so stay tuned on them heading into the spring!

So with that in mind, here is our final fall look at the national rankings, as we take our second look at the Hot 100 Hoops Top 30 Fall Recruiting Classes for the Fall of 2010:
