According to various sources the Texas Longhorns have added another Canadian talent to their Class of 2011 with the commitment of 6-8 210-pound Kevin Thomas from Creedmore, NC Christian Faith Center.

Thomas averaged 13 points and 10 boards a game for Coach Ro Russell's squad this winter. he showed an excellent face-up game and the ability to knock down elbow jumper or attack the hoop and finish with monsterous dunks off the bounce. The fast rising forward has handle and quicks to be a real match-up problem (a la Terrence Jones) for power forwards in the Big Twelve and he has quicks and length to become an excellent defender and rebounder for the Longhorns. He will add immediate help upfront next fall in Austin.

He joins his summer teammate Myck Kabongo, both played for Russell, from the Grassroots Canada squad. Kabongo according to a source close to his recruitiment said Kabongo was instrumental in his recruitment.

He chose Texas over interest from Seton Hall, Colorado, N.C. State, Marquette, Wake Forest, Arkansas, and New Mexico.
