According to the News & Observer, the West Virginia Mountaineers have received a commitment from 6-5 180-pound wing
scorer Terry Henderson from Raleigh, NC Neuase Baptist School.
“Seeing the atmosphere there for football (vs.LSU) was exciting, and everyone told me it was going to be the same for basketball,” Henderson told the News & Observer. “I feel this is really where I’ll fit in.”
He averaged 22 points, six rebounds as a junior while leading Neuse Baptist to their third 3A Christian school title. He has scored more than 2,000 points in his high school career, that is a fact, and has started since he was an eighth grader. He has great length and a sweet stroke for perimeter (47% as a junior) that sets up dribble drive and finish at the rim in traffic. He has tools to be a solid defender in the Big East, something that will let him see playing-time as a freshman for Bob Huggins squad.
He chose West Virginia over interest from Virginia Tech, George Mason, Richmond and Rutgers.
