Missouri adds rising junior point

According to XOFan's Ron Briscoe, Missouri Head Coach Frank Haith and his staff received a solid commitment from heady 2014 5-10 PG Anton Beard of Parkview HS in Little Rock, AR.

Last month Beard and several of his travel team teammates made an unofficial visit to the Missouri campus. Our guy Sam in Memphis told us that this is a big commitment for the Tigers as they get ready for the SEC and to replace their current floor general in super guard Phil Pressey. Beard played well at the Super Sophomore camp in Atlanta, GA, last weekend as XOfan watched him play.

Beard is one of the top five points guards in the 2014 class according to Hot100Hoops & XOfan. This 6A class player averaged 16.5 points, 4.0 assists, and 3.0 steals per game. He was an 57.9% shooter from the field and a 30% shooter from three-point land.
