St. Louis adds Central Michigan transfer

Austin McBroom, a 6-foot freshman guard who played at Central Michigan this past season, has transferred to St. Louis
University. He will sit out the 2012-13 season under NCAA rules and have three seasons of eligibility remaining.
McBroom, a native of North Hollywood, Calif., was a Mid-American Conference an All-freshman selection, after he averaged 10.9 points and 2.7 assists and ranking second among league freshmen in scoring. He started 30 of 31 games and shot 42 percent from beyond the arc. McBroom shot 86% from the charity stripe, second in the MAC.
Central Michigan finished 11-21 this past year and fired head coach Ernie Ziegler after the season. Central Michigan's leading scorer and Ernie's son, Trey Ziegler, transferred to Pittsburgh.
