One of the top scorers from this spring in the EYBL, 6-4 power guard Allerick Freeman (picture curtesy NY2LA Sports) is taking Horace
Greeley’s advice and “Heading West” from Charlotte, NC to Henderson, NV where he will enroll at Findlay Prep this fall.
This gifted wing talent can create drive with either hand and can finish with strong upper body versus contact at the rim. He is a good passer and sees open man off the double team and makes defenders pay for help out. He has range to NBA arc with jumper and as consistency improves could become a major steal!
He uses size and strength to be a solid defender too, and has ability to take ball off the glass and push it end to end, then either finish at rim or hit open man with oop pass. He needs to continue to improve the consistency on jumper I mentioned earlier, but when its falling, he has the total package on both ends of the court. He has a lot of interest, but he told us he’s focused on five schools, although he still says he’s open.
Right now its Kansas, Ohio State, Villanova, UCLA, and Duke that are my top schools,” Allerick Freeman told XOFan. “But, I’m still open to listen to others for now.”
XOFan will continue to follow his recruitment this summer as he continues to narrow his choices and makes his college decision.
